Overview
What is it?
Across Northern Ireland there are a range of Community Transport schemes now in operation. They all provide a wide range of services but they are different in each area.
Some of the services that may be provided include minibus hire for local groups and clubs, volunteer car schemes and door-to-door bus services. If for example you find it difficult to get to GP appointments or if you rely on friends to take you shopping, then a community transport scheme might be able to help you.
How do I get it?
For more information about this you can contact a local advice service.
Some of the schemes require you to become a member, or ask that you book in advance for using their services.
To find out if there is a scheme in your local area and what services it provides, you can look online at

You will also find contact details for all of the operators.
